Job Description

New Building Control Opportunity Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Building Control Surveyor to join its team on an initial 6-month contract dealing with a number of complex and high-risk buildings, including high-rise structures. ,Key Duties will include: Leading and managing building control operations. Providing expert guidance and oversight on regulatory matters, enforcement, and statutory compliance.

Engaging effectively with stakeholders, including developers, residents, and internal teams. A qualified Building Control Surveyor (ideally Class 3 or 4 level competency, including Class 3H) should have extensive experience in local authority building control, including enforcement and statutory compliance, as well as proven leadership skills and a strong understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and its implications. Full professional membership with one or more of the following is also desirable: RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) CABE (Chartered Association of Building Engineers) CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) MIoF (Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers) The ability to work and be office-based, ideally for 3 days per week, is also essential.
