The predicted salary is between 30000 - 38000 £ per year.

Provide proactive, high-level executive support to the Vice-Chancellor, VC’s Policy Advisor, and the Chair of the Board, ensuring efficient management of their schedules, correspondence, and administrative tasks.

This is a temporary assignment in the first instance with a view to go permanent for the right candidate.

Hybrid working – 3 days office 2 days home – based on Talbot Campus

£33,800 salary (£20.50 an hour)

Duties to include:

  • High-quality administrative and secretarial support,
  • Manage a busy diary with conflicting priorities, liaising proactively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise and make best use of the V-C’s time,
  • Anticipating opportunities to ease demands on the V-C’s time,
  • Organise and provide support for a wide variety of meetings, this will include note taking and post-meeting follow ups,
  • Co-ordinate arrangements for maximum efficiency and ease, and making the VC aware of any potential issues as soon as possible;
  • Taking responsibility for the planning, management and scheduling of often complex and demanding priorities,
  • Ensure clear and efficient communications on behalf of and for the VC, including promptly and respectfully managing communications directed to and from the VC, with urgent matters addressed as such,
  • Ensure the VC is appropriately prepared for engagements, including briefing materials, meeting space, refreshments and travel arrangements,
  • Support preparation of all confidential stakeholder correspondence/engagement,
  • Resolving issues where possible or triaging requests to the appropriate level,
  • Liaison with VIPs and wide range of stakeholders,
  • Exceptionally high level of organisational skills, effective decision-making skills and excellent attention to detail,
  • Ability to manage competing demands effectively in a fast-paced office environment,
  • Proven experience providing executive support at a senior level,
  • Confidence in managing complex stakeholder relationships
