Interim Estate Surveyor, London Local Authority. £400 – £450 p/day Inside IR35

Your new company

Based in London, this public-sector organisation is currently looking to appoint an Interim Estate Surveyor to join their commercial property team on a rolling contract basis. The office location of this LA is close by to local train and bus stations, making it an easily accessible destination for many.
Your new role

The successful candidate will manage and optimise a diverse commercial property portfolio, ensuring effective estate management and contributing to the strategic goals of the local authority. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the commercial property portfolio, including leasing, rent reviews, lease renewals, and property inspections. Part of your role will also include preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on portfolio performance.

What you’ll need to succeed

MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards membership.Ideally, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial property management, preferably within a local authority or public sector environment.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
In-depth understanding of property law, valuation methods, and market dynamics.
