A leading infrastructure contractor delivering major utility and energy projects across the UK is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join an established commercial team. Working on long-term framework agreements and complex engineering projects, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful commercial delivery of nationally significant infrastructure works.

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial management of projects from inception through to final account. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of valuations, applications, variations, claims and final accounts
  • Management of subcontractor procurement, payments and account settlements
  • Supporting the administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events
  • Monitoring project risks and maintaining commercial risk registers
  • Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting and project profitability reviews
  • Identifying and managing commercial opportunities and risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Producing commercial reports and supporting project reviews
  • Working closely with operational teams, project managers and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, utilities, energy, power, rail, water or major civil engineering projects
  • Good understanding of NEC contracts and compensation events
  • Experience managing subcontractors, variations, claims and final accounts
  • Strong commercial reporting and forecasting skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with project teams and stakeholders
  • Relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent commercial qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience within regulated infrastructure environments such as utilities, power transmission, substations, water, rail or major civils would be highly advantageous.
