This is a generalist Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner role supporting the Regional HRBP to deliver an efficient Human Resources Service to around 400 blue collar workers split over 2 sites, both in North Kent. This role will work within a small HR team but also be part of a bigger group.
Your new role:
- To take the lead in updating, co-ordinating & advising managers/employees on all people/HR systems including Global Employee Database, annual leave system, recruitment system and performance management system.
- To manage recruitment campaigns for all levels within the organisation, which involves providing full administrative support, assisting with job descriptions, adverts, the recruitment approval process and tracking and moving candidates through HR systems.
- To play a key role in the onboarding/induction process, including delivering the HR induction presentation to new hires, arranging occupational health appointments and liaising with the hiring manager to ensure a thorough induction plan is in place.
- To provide expert advice and support to management with short and long-term absences.
- Assisting management at meetings with complex cases and managing the escalation, including Occupational Health referrals.
- Updating sickness data to track progress.
- Providing comprehensive HR and expert guidance and coaching and providing assistance to management with employee relations matters, such as grievances, disciplinary or capability matters, supporting managers in meetings as and when required.
- Manage and support the business and management with restructuring initiatives which may include redundancies.
- Managing Payroll notifications and ensuring Payroll is in receipt of data by the due deadline.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years generalist HR experience working at a Senior HR advisor / HRBP level.
- Strong employee relations and recruitment processes experience.
- Preference would be to have blue collar support experience, but not essential.
- Ideally, you would be a car owner.
