A leading global FM consultancy is seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee environmental performance across a public services contract in Northern Ireland. You'll ensure compliance with NI environmental legislation, lead ISO-accredited systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 50001), manage environmental risk, and drive continuous improvement across a complex multi-site estate.

This is a permanent role based in Belfast, reporting to the Head of Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Environmental Service and maintain the Environmental Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with NI environmental legislation and client policies.
  • Deliver environmental audits, inspections and performance reporting.
  • Manage environmental risks, pollution prevention and emergency response.
  • Oversee waste, recycling, energy, water and carbon reporting.
  • Produce monthly dashboards, KPIs and assurance reports.
  • Deliver environmental training and promote a strong environmental culture.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Science or similar.
  • Knowledge of NI environmental legislation and ISO 14001/50001.
  • 2+ years' experience in environmental management within FM, property or public-sector estates.
  • Strong audit, compliance and reporting skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, influence stakeholders and drive improvements.
  • Experience with carbon reporting or NEC contracts (desirable).
