Engineering Team Leader – £52.5k – Panama Style Shifts – WakefieldI am delighted to be working on behalf of a Food Manufacturer, looking for a Maintenance Shift Team Leader, leading 4 Engineers and driving shift performance for reactive and proactive maintenance across the site. This is a fast-paced manufacturer, with a mix of assets including mechanical, electrical, site services and automation.
The newly appointed Maintenance Team Leader will report to the Engineering Manager and assume responsibility for planning, budgets, maintenance schedules, people leadership and development, and much more.

What you’ll need to succeedFor your application to be successful, you will be an apprentice trained maintenance engineer with an electrical bias.
Experience mentoring and leading a small team is desirable and, ideally, you’ll have exposure to fast-moving, highly automated environments, such as food, beverages, textiles, cosmetics, pharma, packaging and similar.
Additional requirements:
- Have extensive experience of maintaining a live manufacturing plant post apprenticeship
- Have the correct right to work in the UK without expiry
- Have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a production environment in the UK
- Able to work a Panama shift rota
- Work collaboratively with a team of engineers and production professionals
- Be continuous improvement focused
