Your new company
I am partnering with a prestigious global business with an excellent brand. An opportunity is available on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis to cover a team member on long-term sick leave. This brand would provide excellent experience to any CV. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for all facets of employment tax for the group, working closely with finance and payroll.

Your new role
You will:

  • Manage the annual employment tax compliance, including PAYE Settlement Agreement, Taxed Award Scheme, P11Ds, Short Term Business Visitors and associated payments.
  • Lead the globally mobile tax compliance process with support from external advisors. Working with our People Team to ensure a seamless end-to-end service for globally mobile employees.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance that impact ET compliance. This role will work cross functionally and play a leading part in resolving the end-to-end processes that feed into ET compliance.
  • Identify areas of tax risk, perform appropriate research, and ensure recommendations are implemented.
  • Own UK and International advisory projects, managing project delivery and other department contributions through to submission and HMRC/tax authority sign off.
  • Identify changes in relevant tax legislation and settling actions required to meet compliance obligations.
  • Work closely with Legal Counsel to review and advise on Termination Payments, Contracts, Reward Schemes and Lump Sum Payments.
  • Identify and propose tax compliance and planning opportunities for senior manager/business consideration.
  • Provide advice and technical support to Legal, Commercial, HR, Reward, Front Line teams and other internal departments.
  • Support union negotiations and the delivery of a tax-efficient remuneration package.
  • Responsible for driving a strong relationship with HMRC and other tax authorities, including coordinating responses to HMRC/tax authorities\’ correspondence and encouraging dispute resolution.
  • What you\’ll need to succeed
    You may be a qualified or part-qualified tax professional, or be qualified by experience. This is a dynamic business with a dynamic team. You will need a proactive attitude, be flexible, act quickly on information and have clear communication skills. You may come from a consultancy background, be a contractor in this field, or be looking to gain some experience in an in-house role.

    What you\’ll get in return
    You will receive a salary dependent on experience of up to £85,000. Flexible working options available with 2 days in the office. Other core benefits are available.
