Your new role
In your new role as Finance Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day activities of the finance function, with a particular focus on purchase ledger processes. You will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at all times. A core element of the role will involve matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, as well as investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise. You will also assist in maintaining accurate financial records and provide general support to the wider finance team, including involvement in ad-hoc tasks where required. This is a full-time, office-based position working 37 hours per week.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative position, ideally with exposure to invoice processing. You will have a high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills, allowing you to manage competing priorities effectively. You will be confident using Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with finance systems. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
