We are seeking an experienced Commercial Maintenance Electrician to join our team servicing a wide range of commercial council buildings across the Wakefield area, including leisure centres, town halls, schools, and more. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician to provide essential maintenance and repairs, ensuring that all systems run efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned and reactive electrical maintenance across various commercial sites, including inspections, testing, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
- Perform electrical testing and inspection, including periodic testing and certification.
- Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, and emergency lighting systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and resolve faults efficiently to minimise disruption.
- Work within health and safety guidelines and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) and City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) are essential.
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance, ideally within public sector buildings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence (a van is provided).
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
