Based in South Essex, you will be joining a well-known manufacturing company which specialises in the design, manufacturing, build and installation of automated machinery working in several industries. With a large order book and continuous projects for the next 3-6 years, this is an excellent time to join an ever-expanding business.
The business now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding Design team. Working alongside the mechanical & electrical design team as well as the projects team, the shop floor and more, you will be working on and exposed to several high-value projects, overseeing the full electrical design life-cycle.
- Assisting with the ongoing drawing transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, working with the rest of the Automation Department to agree on methods of working and drawing standards.
- Generating electrical drawings and panel layouts, with supporting electrical documentation (Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, Terminal Rail Layouts etc.).
- Ensure all electrical drawings are updated promptly throughout the life cycle of the project and shared with all relevant departments.
- Maintain a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency in functional hardware from project to project.
Qualifications:
- Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g. apprenticeship).
- Experience in a similar Electrical Design-based role.
- Knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D is a necessity.
