Your new role as an Electrical Maintenance Technician involves being part of a dedicated Engineering team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of heavy plant and equipment. Working Monday to Friday, your role will include both planned and reactive maintenance activities, as well as modifications to a wide range of industrial machinery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Prioritising breakdowns in collaboration with operations to minimise downtime.
- Supporting project work, quality assurance systems and Health and Safety initiatives.
- Ensuring all work is documented and compliant with internal policies and HSE regulations.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Time-served engineer with NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience working with heavy plant and equipment in an industrial setting, ideally within quarrying or bulk handling environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating machinery.
- Diagnostic and fault-finding skills using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with Permit to Work systems and incident reporting procedures.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of PLCs, drive control systems, HV networks, and CMMS platforms such as SAP.
- Understanding of maintenance strategies like RCM, PM, CBM, and TPM.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
What you'll get in return:
A competitive salary package of £43,000. Plenty of overtime is available. On-call rota also with this team.
