A public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to join their team on a 9-month maternity cover contract. This is a predominantly remote role, with occasional travel required for meetings and collaborative working. The position offers a 36-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working arrangements available.

As Personal Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to a senior leader, helping to ensure the smooth running of their day-to-day activities. Minute-taking is a key part of the role, requiring excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately capture discussions, decisions, and actions from a range of meetings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing diaries, meetings, and appointments.
  • Preparing agendas and meeting documentation.
  • Attending meetings and producing accurate minutes and action notes.
  • Managing emails and correspondence, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Supporting information requests and administrative processes.
  • Producing reports, documents, and communications using Microsoft Office.
  • Building positive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing general administrative support to senior management.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in a PA, EA, or senior administrative role.
  • Minute-taking skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong diary management and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and professional approach, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
