The firm boasts a strong Scottish presence with several offices across the central belt of Scotland, offering an interesting and varied client base ranging from local independent businesses to large international organisations. They are keen to recruit an experienced audit manager to oversee the management of a diverse portfolio of clients predominantly across the SME market based towards their Edinburgh office.
In your new role as an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the firm's audit function:
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients alongside the preparation of accounts and corporation tax computations/returns for limited companies.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and provide practical guidance on regulatory matters such as tax and VAT regulations, requirements of UK law, and the principles of good governance.
- Other ad hoc duties when required.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm. You should be comfortable overseeing audits from planning to completion while managing and mentoring more junior staff members. A professional qualification such as ACCA or ICAS is required, along with a strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and experience with clients across a range of industries and sectors.
