Your new role

Joining on a 6-month fixed-term contract, you will take on strategic leadership of the organisation's administrative operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality support across the business. You will guide multiple teams, shape operational standards, and drive improvements that strengthen service delivery during a period of transition and organisational focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead administrative teams - Manage Team Leads, build a strong leadership culture and ensure teams are structured and performing effectively.
  • Own operational delivery - Oversee firm-wide administrative services, ensuring senior stakeholders receive proactive, reliable support.
  • Plan workload & resources - Manage capacity, prioritisation and task allocation to maintain service continuity.
  • Maintain quality & governance - Uphold professional standards, data protection requirements and quality controls across all outputs.
  • Drive performance management - Set KPIs, monitor productivity and quality, and support capability development at all levels.
  • Champion process improvement - Identify inefficiencies, lead improvement initiatives and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Engage senior stakeholders - Act as a trusted point of contact for partners, directors and senior managers.
  • Support wider business activity - Contribute to firm-wide projects, employer-brand activity and operational forums.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience in a senior administrative or operational leadership role within a professional or regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to lead managers and team leaders, build accountable, high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an operational mindset, with the ability to balance quality, efficiency and risk.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management skills, with confidence in engaging at senior leadership level.
  • A track record of improving service delivery, driving operational effectiveness and implementing meaningful change.
  • High levels of organisation, resilience and decisiveness, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain service continuity.
