Due to increased recruitment activity, they are seeking a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join their People & Organisational Development team on a temporary basis for up to six months. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive recruitment professional to support end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience from offer stage through to onboarding. Your new role Working closely with the Talent Acquisition and HR teams, you will coordinate all post-offer recruitment activity, ensuring new employees are onboarded efficiently and compliantly. You will be responsible for managing candidate communications, employment checks, onboarding administration, and supporting hiring managers throughout the process. Key Duties: Coordinate all recruitment activity from conditional offer through to onboarding. Issue offer letters, contracts of employment, and associated documentation. Manage pre-employment checks, including references, right-to-work verification, and disclosure/background screening. Liaise with candidates, hiring managers, and external providers to ensure onboarding milestones are met. Maintain accurate records on recruitment and HR systems. Monitor compliance requirements and ensure all documentation is completed before start dates. Coordinate induction schedules and new starter arrangements. Provide regular updates to hiring managers on onboarding progress. Support recruitment campaigns and workforce planning activities as required. Produce reports and data to support recruitment performance and compliance monitoring. Ensure all recruitment activity is delivered in line with public sector policies, employment legislation, equality commitments, and GDPR requirements. What you'll need to succeed You will have previous experience in a recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR administration role and be comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. You will also demonstrate: Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes. Excellent organisational and administrative skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR systems. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
