An established Housing Association is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with a strong background in tenancy management and delivering high-quality housing services within a social housing environment.
Your new role:
- Managing a designated housing patch and acting as the primary contact for tenants
- Delivering an effective tenancy management service, including tenancy sustainment and support
- Managing anti-social behaviour cases and neighbour disputes
- Conducting estate management inspections and property visits
- Dealing with tenancy changes, abandonments, succession requests and mutual exchanges
- Supporting rent arrears prevention and working closely with income teams where required
- Ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining strong tenant relationships
- Liaising with internal departments and external agencies to resolve housing-related issues
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience working as a Housing Officer within a Housing Association or Local Authority
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management practices
- Experience managing anti-social behaviour and complex tenancy cases
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Desirable: Experience using Homemaster housing management software
