A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a key role focused on driving improvements across manufacturing processes, systems and equipment to enhance safety, quality and delivery performance, while reducing overall production costs. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with production teams, engineering and quality to ensure best-practice standards are embedded across the shop floor.
Your New Role
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing efficient and cost-effective production methods for major sub-assemblies and final machine build. Working collaboratively with production, engineering and quality teams to identify issues, implement containment actions and deliver root-cause solutions. Introducing and maintaining best-practice standard work to improve safety, quality and operational efficiency. Developing ergonomic, Lean-focused processes incorporating 5S principles. Supporting production teams as part of a cross-functional environment, providing technical expertise and problem-solving support. Leading new product introduction activities, including design-for-manufacture reviews, process development and production launch.

- Experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a production or assembly environment
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence improvements on the shop floor
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process optimisation
