Your new role As an Audit Senior, you'll play a key role within the audit team, managing a varied portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for audit and accounts assignments from planning through to completion. The role offers an approximate split of 70% audit and 30% accounts work, providing a strong blend of assurance and compliance exposure.You will lead statutory audits and independent examinations, including specialist areas such as charity audits and solicitor rules engagements, while supporting and supervising junior members of the team. Alongside your audit responsibilities, you will prepare statutory accounts, including consolidated accounts where required, draft corporation tax returns and assist with the preparation of non-audit accounts assignments. Working closely with Managers and Partners, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your technical knowledge while building strong relationships with a diverse client base. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment and be ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience. Applications are welcomed from individuals with a range of audit experience levels, provided they have a solid grounding in accounts preparation and corporate tax compliance within practice.You will possess strong organisational and communication skills, enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and have the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively. Experience with software packages such as CCH Audit Automation, CCH Accounts, Xero, Sage and Microsoft Office would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
