Your new role As an Audit Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of audit and assurance clients, overseeing engagements from planning through to completion. You will lead audit teams, review work carried out by junior and senior staff, and act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered throughout the audit process.The role will involve managing a range of statutory audits, independent examinations and specialist assignments, alongside the review of statutory accounts prepared under FRS102 and Charity SORP. You will work closely with Partners to manage client relationships, identify opportunities to add value and support the development of the wider team through coaching, mentoring and technical guidance.This is a visible position within the firm and offers the opportunity to become heavily involved in client management, staff development and the continued growth of the audit department. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a proven track record of delivering audits within an accountancy practice environment. You will have experience managing multiple client engagements, reviewing the work of others and maintaining strong client relationships.You will possess strong technical knowledge across audit and accounts preparation, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills. Previous experience supervising and developing junior team members is essential, as is the ability to manage deadlines, budgets and competing priorities effectively.Experience working with a range of accounting and audit software packages would be advantageous, together with a commercial mindset and a desire to contribute to the continued success of a growing firm.
