Unrivalled opportunity to accelerate your expert journey in this challenger firm.
Your new company is a newly-formed breakaway boutique with a strong European presence. The lead Partner is a Global Elite Thought Leader in several Lexology categories and is recognised as a world-leading Expert in GAR. Cases are large and/or complex, spanning a wide variety of commercial and investor-state disputes, typically valued between 100-500 million and up to several billion.
The lead Partner, with a background in major international firms, aimed to build a distinctive, independent firm for the next generation of Experts, operating in an agile manner. Business development includes thought leadership/publishing, curated events with high-profile speakers, and one-to-one interactions. The firm embraces the use of AI where appropriate, developing models and packs from best practices in large, global firms. The Partners aim to eliminate formal hierarchies and bureaucracy, instilling a degree of freedom not found in larger firms. They provide significant co-signing and co-testifying opportunities.
With restrictions now lifted, the firm is ready to expand, focusing on responsible growth. Currently located in three locations, the primary focus for initial hires will be the UK/London.
Your new role offers several levels from Manager to rising Expert/Director. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking their first co-signing or co-testifying experience, as the Partners are keen to develop the next generation of Experts and have strong track records in mentoring Directors to Partner. There is also potential for an AD/Director driven by the desire to produce high-quality reports and work.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- ACA/CFA or equivalent
- Pure-play track record as a forensic accountant in arbitration, commercial disputes, and quantum of damages, including contentious valuations experience
- Experience drafting substantive sections of reports, if not whole reports
- Ideally a background in larger firms
- Quality of ideas
- A second language (French or German) would be a bonus
What you’ll get in return:
- Privately-funded, owner-managed firm with no PE backing
- Default remote-working policy
- Direct access to and mentorship from seasoned, elite Experts
- Interesting, complex work often cross-jurisdictional
- Opportunity to work with top law firms and household name corporates/institutions
- Be part of the next generation of Experts
- Future Partnership opportunities for those with ability and ambition
