An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Director to lead the delivery of major healthcare projects as part of a nationally significant programme transforming NHS infrastructure. The Opportunity

You will take full accountability for the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects (typically £150m), overseeing all on-site operations and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellence in safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of major healthcare construction projects
  • Drive programme, design (Stage 4), and commercial performance
  • Oversee procurement strategy and subcontractor management
  • Implement robust production controls and operational processes
  • Champion a strong culture of health, safety, quality, and compliance
  • Lead and align contractors, engineering, and delivery teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards

About You

  • Extensive experience delivering large construction projects (£150m)
  • Senior leadership background (Senior PM / Project Director level)
  • Strong track record managing teams through the delivery phase
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • MCIOB or similar (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of programme planning and sequencing
  • Confident leading complex stakeholder environments
