An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Director to lead the delivery of major healthcare projects as part of a nationally significant programme transforming NHS infrastructure. The Opportunity
You will take full accountability for the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects (typically £150m), overseeing all on-site operations and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellence in safety, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of major healthcare construction projects
- Drive programme, design (Stage 4), and commercial performance
- Oversee procurement strategy and subcontractor management
- Implement robust production controls and operational processes
- Champion a strong culture of health, safety, quality, and compliance
- Lead and align contractors, engineering, and delivery teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards
About You
- Extensive experience delivering large construction projects (£150m)
- Senior leadership background (Senior PM / Project Director level)
- Strong track record managing teams through the delivery phase
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience)
- MCIOB or similar (desirable)
- Strong understanding of programme planning and sequencing
- Confident leading complex stakeholder environments
