Your new company You will be joining a global professional services company within a team focused on forward-thinking business enablers. Your mission as the Digital Services Manager will be to ensure the company has the right tools, technology and strategies in place to future-proof the ever-growing business! I am looking for candidates with strong experience of working in global organisations who can oversee end users in the thousands. Your new role Management of the UK Digital Applications’ estate primarily focused on Cloud Delivery and ensuring it is operated in line with best practice industry standards, that key performance metrics are captured and reported, and the IT environment is optimised. This includes Compliance and Lifecycle management, that technology remains updated in line with vendor support and that good practice is adhered to in areas including Compliance, Version Control, Capacity Management, Data Cleansing, Archiving, Backup, Recovery, DR and Business Continuity. The post holder must be experienced in driving improvement, identifying and owning change with a track record of transforming operational teams. Leading and developing an internal team to deliver high standards in performance and operational maturity as well as transition to new and emerging technologies. They will also engage and drive performance with third parties and will have a solid understanding of commercials and licencing agreements to ensure value for money in the function. What you’ll need to succeed An experienced and motivated technical leader focused on delivering digital applications and technology services. Excellent track record of people and team management Have excellent stakeholder management skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and plan work independently and effectively. The skills you need Experience in managing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise applications with a good appreciation of application design & development, including database and infrastructure technologies. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving & delivery skills coupled with a good understanding of ITIL support processes. Experience of implementing, customising, and supporting third party systems, including managing suppliers. Awareness of structured development, analysis & project management methods (SDLC, Prince, Agile, etc) Experience of supporting a combination of Cloud (Azure) and SaaS-based solutions. The ability to proactively recommend and implement alternative working practices. The ability to learn and support current and new systems quickly and effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proactive and flexible team player. A proactive outlook for problem-solving. Ideally, experience of managing, supporting, and enhancing software solutions in the professional services sector.
