DevOps Engineer

Hays are partnering with a known Consultancy that provides their services within the Financial Sector.

Our client is currently looking to bring on a DevOps Engineer that will be a part of an AWS to Azure migration project.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable software releases.
Automate repetitive tasks and improve overall system efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Proficiency in GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

This is an initial 11-month contract paying up to £550 per day Inside IR35, with the expectation of going to the City-based office 2 days a week.
