A leading international business operating in a dynamic and evolving environment is seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller. As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of day-to-day finance operations, statutory reporting and cash management while partnering with senior stakeholders to enhance performance. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead month-end close, quarterly reporting, and compliance activities, as well as drive process improvements and system upgrades. You’ll also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and delivering insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Partner with non-finance operational teams on pricing, margin analysis and performance KPIs.
  • Oversight of AP, AR, treasury, payroll interface and balance sheet integrity.
  • Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee audits, tax compliance and relationships with external advisors.
  • Mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and improvement.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Ideally qualified with ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent; candidates qualified by experience are also considered as suitable.
  • Good technical / financial accounting knowledge as well as budgeting, forecasting and management skills.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and controls in a growing or transitioning business.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, pragmatic approach with the ability to simplify complexity and deliver solutions.
