A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are seeking an experienced Desktop Hardware Deployment Project Manager for a major global banking client. 6-month contract to start in October Based in London (onsite initially/hybrid) Regular out of hours Weekend Deployments and some EU Travel Inside IR35 The Desktop Hardware Deployment Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, governance, coordination and successful delivery of Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) and desktop hardware refresh projects across client locations in EMEA. Based in London, the role provides visible, hands-on supervision across project planning, site readiness, deployment execution, commercial control, quality assurance and formal client acceptance. The PM acts as the primary client-facing representative, building trusted stakeholder relationships and directing multiple vendors, subcontractors, engineers and project resources. The role is accountable for ensuring that every project is executed safely, on time, within budget and to the agreed technical, operational and quality standards. This is a delivery-focused assignment for an experienced project resource who can combine disciplined project controls with visible client leadership. Success requires a highly professional approach with confident representation in front of senior client stakeholders, with rigorous coordination of multiple vendors, strong ownership of quality and sign-off. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Delivery Client and Stakeholder Management Multi-Vendor and Resource Management Risk, Issue and Change Management Quality Assurance, Acceptance and Sign-Off Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance Reporting, Governance and Documentation Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience leading large-scale desktop hardware deployment, refresh or TLM projects within complex enterprise environments. Strong client-facing project management experience, with the credibility to represent the firm and engage senior stakeholders. Demonstrable experience coordinating multiple vendors, subcontractors, logistics providers and field engineering resources. Experience delivering projects across multiple sites or countries, ideally within EMEA. Strong programme planning, scheduling, budget management, cost control and financial reporting capability. Practical experience of RAID management, change control, project governance and executive reporting. Experience defining and controlling project quality, completion evidence, acceptance and formal client sign-off. Working knowledge of Health and Safety obligations, RAMS, toolbox talks and safe site delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, organisation and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain composed, decisive and customer focused in a fast-moving delivery environment. Willingness and ability to travel regularly across EMEA and support weekend or out-of-hours work for at least 75% of deployment activity. Preferred Qualifications and Knowledge PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent project management certification. ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management qualification. Experience in Financial Services, Workplace Technology, End User Computing or managed IT services. Knowledge of hardware asset management, deployment logistics, inventory reconciliation and device lifecycle controls. Experience working within formal vendor governance and managed service frameworks.
