Your new role
Our client has a full order book for the next few years and to ensure it is delivered in line with their industry-leading expectations, they are seeking to appoint a Design Manager to their team in Glasgow. Working closely with the construction directors and project management team, you will be responsible for driving the design process of large complex building projects all the way from conception through pre-construction to final handover. You will be a key part of the delivery team ensuring the continuing success of our client. These projects will be a mix of framework driven multiple stage tenders all the way through to traditional competitive tendering. Our client’s core markets are driven by publicly funded projects across education ,leisure, healthcare and mixed commercial.
What you will need to succeed Our client is open to candidates from a variety of construction and design backgrounds seeking to develop their career in Design Management. Perhaps you are a Senior Architect Technologist looking to progress in your career and apply your experience in a different way, or you may be a construction engineer with an interest in the design management process looking to take their career in a different direction. This role will require someone with exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail and a deep knowledge of construction building projects across our client’s core sectors.
