You will be joining a well-established, market-leading engineering business specialising in mobile recycling machinery. Known for innovation and high-quality manufacturing, the company continues to invest in product development and cutting-edge design solutions to stay ahead in a competitive global market.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of new products, as well as the continuous improvement of existing machinery. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering engineered solutions within agreed timescales while ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new products and enhance existing machinery
  • Apply engineering best practices including QFD, FMEA, design for manufacture, prototyping, and testing
  • Ensure all designs meet safety, performance, and reliability standards
  • Manage engineering data in line with global standards and systems
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through design improvements and supplier collaboration
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience), ideally with design experience in mobile or tracked equipment
  • Strong 3D CAD skills (CREO preferred) and experience with PDM systems
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience in mobile recycling machinery (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of Oracle TMS (advantageous)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
