Your new company

You'll be joining a respected supported accommodation service in Kingston and New Malden, delivered on behalf of a local authority. The service provides 24/7 housing and support for young people aged 16-25, including care leavers and unaccompanied asylum seekers, across two well-established sites.

Your new role

As Deputy Supported Accommodation Manager, you'll support and deputise for the Service Manager, ensuring safe, high-quality provision for young people with complex needs. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, lead on safeguarding when required, supervise Night Support Workers, manage rotas, respond to incidents and maintain strong professional relationships. You'll also support service continuity during planned refurbishment works. Your rota includes three late shifts (2pm-10pm, Mon to Wed), two early shifts (8am-4pm, Thurs&Fri) and participation in the on-call manager rota.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with vulnerable young people in an Ofsted-regulated setting
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence making decisions on-shift and on-call
  • Experience supervising staff and managing performance
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and time-management skills
  • Ability to work early and late shifts and cover absences
  • Strong communication skills and a solution-focused approach
