Your role
Are you intellectually curious and good at solving data problems? Do you enjoy collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their challenges? Are you able to work through an ambiguous ask and drive to resolution? As a data management specialist, you will:
- Collaborate with the business, tech, control functions and subject matter experts to identify, catalogue and manage the IB’s data assets and data flows.
- Plan, develop and execute data management initiatives aligned to our data management framework and policy.
- Coordinate discussions across stakeholders to identify, catalogue and register data issues and help drive the resolution of identified data quality issues.
Your team
The IB Data Management Office (IB DMO) team is part of the IB Chief Data Office (CDO) within the IB Chief Operating Office (COO), and provides leadership across the IB to ensure that data management for the division is: 1) aligned with the policy and strategy of the firm, 2) aligned with regulatory requirements across the globe. The team also monitors the implementation of data governance initiatives. IB DMO work is done in partnership with colleagues across the IB Business, IB technology, Group DMO and the control functions to develop practical and implementable solutions spanning all business areas and front to back functions.
Your expertise
We are looking for strong data management specialist who has relevant experience in one of more of the below:
- Previous experience of business and data analysis, ideally where significant changes to existing information / data flows have taken place.
- Experience managing deadlines, sometimes at short notice, as well as multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to design and implement solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent stakeholder management.
It would be a plus if you have:
- Strong understanding of application data governance and data management including tooling such as Collibra.
- Previous experience working with data analysis tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI etc.
