We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Cyber Security Director with a strong background in telecommunications and network security to lead our cybersecurity initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and integrity of our telecommunications infrastructure and services and will require strong advisory experience with senior stakeholder skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies that align with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Advising the CISO: Advise on potential cyber and fraud risks, provide detailed updates on existing/emerging technologies, and offer strategic direction setting and governance intel.
  • Telecommunications Security: Oversee the security of telecommunications networks, systems, and data, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with telecommunications operations.
  • Incident Response: Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Team Management: Lead a high-performing cybersecurity team, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, and implement innovative solutions to enhance security posture and fraud prevention.
  • Effective research, organization, and project management skills with key attention to detail and delivery of documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including IT, legal, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to cybersecurity and fraud prevention.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the telecommunications industry.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and protocols, excellent leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in risk management and incident response.
