Your new company is an established and reputable business based in Chadderton seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The business prides itself on its collaborative culture and supportive team environment.
Your new role as a Credit Controller will play a key role in supporting the company's cash flow and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring overdue payments are collected in a timely manner whilst providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Chasing outstanding debt via telephone and email
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
- Resolving account queries and investigating payment issues
- Allocating incoming payments accurately
- Producing aged debt reports and monitoring debtor balances
- Working closely with colleagues across finance and other departments to achieve team objectives
- Supporting the wider finance function as required
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience working in a Credit Controller position
- Proven ability to manage and reduce aged debt
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive and organised approach to work
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
