We have a fantastic opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our busy HR Operations team within a large, global manufacturing organisation, based at our Goodwood, Chichester site. Reporting into an HR Business Partner, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive HR team, delivering an exceptional, high‑quality HR service across the business. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week on site at our state‑of‑the‑art car manufacturing plant.
What awaits you?
As an HR Advisor, you will provide practical, commercially focused HR support to managers across the site. Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the HR Business Partner to provide pragmatic advice and manage employee relations cases end to end, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Supporting absence management, the leavers process, recruitment and onboarding, including case reviews, Occupational Health referrals, exit interviews, assessment days and relocation claims where applicable.
- Acting as a first point of contact for around 500 employees, leading regular meetings with managers to review cases, agree actions and coach on best practice.
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives across the employee lifecycle, while working closely with stakeholders including Occupational Health, Payroll, Finance, Legal and union representatives.
- Processing contractual changes and employee data accurately in SAP, ensuring compliance with UK employment law, internal policies and audit requirements.
- Supporting or leading HR projects, process improvements and manager capability initiatives, while maintaining confidentiality, discretion and sound professional judgement.
What should you bring along?
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) or relevant HR experience, with strong generalist HR and employee relations knowledge.
- Good understanding of HR processes, policies and UK employment law, with the ability to advise, influence and guide managers to make sound decisions.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, complex environment, with a proactive approach and an interest in continuous improvement and digital transformation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with calm and professional judgement when handling sensitive matters.
- Experience in a unionised environment, supporting HR projects or delivering line manager training would be an advantage.
