Your new role as a Part-Time Production Team Leader involves supporting the launch of a new production line and increased volumes at a busy manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of operators across weekend shifts, ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality running of production operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving performance, maintaining quality standards and fostering a positive, engaged team culture.

  • Lead, motivate and engage a production team, driving collaboration and performance.
  • Build team capability through training, coaching, onboarding and performance management.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with GMP requirements.
  • Champion health & safety, conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe working practices.
  • Deliver the production plan, ensuring output targets are consistently achieved.
  • Use short interval control and performance data to drive operational efficiency.
  • Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify, escalate and resolve production issues relating to process, quality, equipment or safety.
  • Oversee start-ups, changeovers and shift handovers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing advantageous).
  • Proven team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and operational performance.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret production data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving ability.
