Your new company Hays Education are seeking reliable, confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across North London.

We are working in partnership with a large network of schools and academies that require skilled Cover Supervisors to provide classroom supervision in the absence of teaching staff.

Your new role As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate Record attendance and report on lesson outcomes Work across a variety of subjects and year groups No planning or marking is typically required for day-to-day cover assignments.

What you'll need to succeed Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or youth work setting Strong behaviour management and communication skills Confident leading groups of students in a classroom environment Flexible, professional and adaptable approach Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff A genuine interest in education and supporting student success A degree is desirable but not essential.
