Your new company
You will be joining an established and well-respected civil engineering contractor based in Coventry delivering complex infrastructure projects nationwide. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking an Intermediate Estimator to join their high-performing team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Coventry office.
Your new role
As an Intermediate Estimator, you will play a key role in producing accurate, competitive and technically robust tenders that support the company's continued growth. Working closely with the Senior Estimator and wider pre-construction team, you will be involved in:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for high-profile infrastructure projects
- Analysing project drawings, specifications and technical information
- Developing pricing strategies and supporting bid submissions
- Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotations and evaluate options
- Supporting value engineering, risk assessments and tender reviews
- Ensuring that estimates reflect industry best practice, commercial awareness and project requirements
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will bring:
- Experience in estimating within heavy civil construction
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Sound IT proficiency; experience in EValuate estimating software (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Full UK driving licence
This role would suit a Junior or Assistant Estimator looking to step up, or an Intermediate Estimator seeking a more specialist and rewarding environment.
