  • You will act as a recognised technical specialist within the firm, helping teams navigate complex legislation, emerging tax developments and challenging advisory assignments.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to tax professionals across multiple service lines.
  • Researching complex areas of tax legislation and interpreting their practical application.

  • Reviewing complex advisory reports and client deliverables.
  • Supporting tax teams on significant transactions, restructures and planning projects.
  • Monitoring changes in tax legislation, HMRC guidance and case law.
  • Communicating technical developments to the wider tax team through training sessions and written updates.
  • Acting as a technical escalation point for complex tax queries.
  • Assisting with the development of firm-wide technical standards and quality processes.
  • Contributing to risk management and technical governance initiatives.

About You:

  • You will be an experienced tax professional with exceptional technical expertise and a genuine passion for taxation.
  • CTA or ACCA qualified.
  • Significant experience within a tax advisory or technical tax environment.
  • Outstanding knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and tax principles.
  • The ability to analyse and simplify complex technical issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, opinions or guidance documents.
  • Strong research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence supporting senior stakeholders on complex tax matters.

What Makes This Role Different?

  • This opportunity has been designed for individuals who enjoy the technical aspects of taxation without the pressures typically associated with senior business development roles.
  • No requirement for client portfolio ownership.
  • No business development or sales targets.
  • Reduced emphasis on networking and fee generation.
  • Significant involvement in complex technical matters.

Career Development:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's technical capability and will work closely with senior leadership on strategic tax matters. This position offers the opportunity to influence technical standards across a growing tax practice, while remaining focused on what matters most: delivering technically excellent tax advice.
