Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and working closely with the Operations leadership team at a manufacturing facility, you will oversee day‑to‑day HR and Labour Relations activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling investigations
  • Supporting talent acquisition
  • Ensuring policy adherence
  • Managing employee relations
  • Contributing to performance management
  • Providing comprehensive support to employees across various HR functions
  • Participating in collective agreement negotiations
  • Assisting in mediating labour disputes and grievances
  • Providing guidance on employee and labour relations matters
  • Leading and conducting internal workplace investigations
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the Director of HR, the HR team, and business leaders to ensure alignment between HR initiatives and organizational strategy
  • Supporting the implementation of HR policies, programs, and strategies that promote growth and retention
  • Responding to inquiries from employees and managers on HR topics
  • Managing day‑to‑day employee and labour relations, including complaint resolution and disciplinary processes
  • Working independently while contributing effectively to team efforts
  • Supporting recruitment for hourly and salaried roles and assisting with onboarding activities for hiring managers
  • Participating in other HR projects as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Post‑secondary education in Human Resources; CHRP designation or working toward it is considered an asset
  • 5–10 years of specialized HR/LR experience in a hands‑on HR role
  • Experience within a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights, and Labour legislation
  • Solid business acumen
  • Excellent communication and strong problem‑solving abilities
  • Results‑driven, proactive, and possessing strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities
  • Strong professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Salary: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
