Job Overview: Our client has an opportunity to re-create how they engage our customers. They no longer want to think about communication as a functional marketing lever but as a tool to build a relationship of trust and engagement. You’ll be working as part of a team dedicated to developing our data-driven engagement strategy.
Location: United Kingdom (hybrid – twice per week on-site)
Daily Rate: £350 per day through umbrella
Contract Length: until end of June 2025 (with visibility to extend)
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital-first Copywriting: Write engaging and persuasive email copy for campaigns that drive customer engagement, retention, and conversions.
- Multi-Channel Messaging: Create consistent and effective copy for all channels, such as push notifications, in-app messaging, SMS, to ensure a unified customer experience.
- Personalisation & Segmentation: Collaborate with the agile squad to develop segmented and personalised content based on customer behaviour, preferences, and lifecycle stage.
- A/B Testing: Craft multiple versions of copy for A/B testing to optimise open rates, click-through rates, and overall campaign performance.
- Brand Voice & Tone: Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s voice and tone, adapting messaging to suit different customer segments and stages of the customer journey.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, data analysts, and CRM managers to develop and execute campaigns.
- Content Optimisation: Continuously analyse the performance of campaigns and use insights to optimise future content and improve customer engagement.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in copywriting, preferably in CRM, email marketing, or digital marketing.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Creative & Strategic Thinking: Ability to think creatively while also considering the data and strategic goals behind each campaign.
- Analytical Skills: Comfortable analysing campaign results and adjusting messaging to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work cross-functionally with marketing, data, and design teams.
