You will be working for a renowned engineering firm in Liverpool, who are looking for a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team. Your new company is known in the industry for their pioneering technology, pushing the boundaries of what can and can’t be done.
Your new role
In this role, you will design, develop, and implement control systems to optimise manufacturing processes. You will work on a range of projects, from concept to completion, ensuring systems are efficient and meet the highest standards. You will be responsible for the design and development of control systems for manufacturing processes. You will be required to program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, perform system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Alongside this, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success, providing technical support and training to operational staff.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this Controls Engineer job role, you will ideally possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. As well as your academic qualifications, you will have experience with PLC programming and industrial automation, be proficient in using SCADA systems, HMI development and have strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
