Croydon Council is seeking a Commissioning and Transformation Lead to drive innovative commissioning and transformation across Children\’s Services. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape services that have a direct impact on young people\’s lives-from early years to SEND and beyond.Reporting to the Head of Integrated Commissioning and Procurement (Children, Families, Education and Health)
In this role you will:

  • Lead strategic commissioning and transformation projects across children\’s services categories
  • Drive forward innovative approaches in procurement and contract management
  • Manage and mentor a team including a Contract and Commissioning Manager
  • Collaborate with partners across Health, Education, Social Care and more
  • Deliver improved outcomes, social value, and sustainable efficiencies

You will oversee strategic contracts, forward-plan commissioning activity (£100k+), and foster market innovation and collaboration.

We are looking for individuals with

  • Senior-level commissioning in children\’s services
  • Managing complex contracts and delivering service improvements
  • Individuals with experience of commissioning 0-19 public health nursing services would be highly desirable.
