Your new roleAs Accounts Senior, you will manage a varied workload across accounts preparation, tax and bookkeeping, while acting as a trusted point of contact for a portfolio of owner-managed business clients. This is a hands-on position offering genuine variety and regular client interaction.

  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in line with FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105.
  • Draft the associated tax computations.
  • Provide bookkeeping services and respond to clients' bookkeeping queries.
  • Build strong working relationships and act as a key point of contact for clients.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Provide practical support on a range of accounting and business matters.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an accurate, responsive and high-quality service. What you'll need to succeedYou will be an experienced accountancy practice professional who is comfortable managing competing deadlines and communicating directly with clients.
  • ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong experience preparing accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses.
  • A confident, professional and client-focused communication style.
  • Good working knowledge of Xero.
  • The ability to work independently, organise your workload and meet multiple client deadlines.
  • Experience of QuickBooks, Sage, Excel, Dext or CCH would be advantageous. What you'll get in return
