An established Housing Association is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with a strong background in tenancy management and delivering high-quality housing services within a social housing environment.

Your new role:

  • Managing a designated housing patch and acting as the primary contact for tenants
  • Delivering an effective tenancy management service, including tenancy sustainment and support
  • Managing anti-social behaviour cases and neighbour disputes
  • Conducting estate management inspections and property visits
  • Dealing with tenancy changes, abandonments, succession requests and mutual exchanges
  • Supporting rent arrears prevention and working closely with income teams where required
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining strong tenant relationships
  • Liaising with internal departments and external agencies to resolve housing-related issues

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience working as a Housing Officer within a Housing Association or Local Authority
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management practices
  • Experience managing anti-social behaviour and complex tenancy cases
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
  • Desirable: Experience using Homemaster housing management software
