Our client is a Top 100 claimant firm with offices across the North West. They are currently recruiting for a Civil Liberties Solicitor with 0-5 years PQE. This is a retrain opportunity for strong civil litigators with 2+ years civil litigation experience.
Your new role
This Civil Liberties Solicitor role will see you:

  • Handle your own caseload of actions against the police and public bodies; including false imprisonment, unlawful arrest, human rights breaches, malicious prosecution, misfeasance and judicial review.
  • Prepare legal documentation including pleadings and witness statements.
  • Negotiate settlements.
  • Represent clients in court.
  • Keep up to date with changes in law.
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients.


What you\'ll need to succeed

  • You must be a qualified solicitor with 0-5 years PQE.
  • Previous Civil Liberties experience is desirable.
  • This is a retrain opportunity for strong civil litigators with 2+ years of litigation experience.
  • Applicants must have 3+ years experience handling a caseload of Part 7 litigation work.
  • You must be able to commute to Liverpool up to 3 times per week.
  • Multi-track experience is preferable but not essential.
  • You must have excellent client care and communication skills.
  • All applicants must have experience running claims to trial with Counsel.
