Your new company
Our client is a Top 100 claimant firm with offices across the North West. They are currently recruiting for a Civil Liberties Solicitor with 0-5 years PQE. This is a retrain opportunity for strong civil litigators with 2+ years civil litigation experience.
Your new role
This Civil Liberties Solicitor role will see you:
- Handle your own caseload of actions against the police and public bodies; including false imprisonment, unlawful arrest, human rights breaches, malicious prosecution, misfeasance and judicial review.
- Prepare legal documentation including pleadings and witness statements.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Represent clients in court.
- Keep up to date with changes in law.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients.
What you'll need to succeed
- You must be a qualified solicitor with 0-5 years PQE.
- Previous Civil Liberties experience is desirable.
- This is a retrain opportunity for strong civil litigators with 2+ years of litigation experience.
- Applicants must have 3+ years experience handling a caseload of Part 7 litigation work.
- You must be able to commute to Liverpool up to 3 times per week.
- Multi-track experience is preferable but not essential.
- You must have excellent client care and communication skills.
- All applicants must have experience running claims to trial with Counsel.
