With over 50 years of business success, we have a reputation as the world leader in specialist recruitment and workforce solutions. Joining Hays isn’t just about being part of a global business leader, it’s about making a difference in the world of work.
The opportunity:
We support organisations grappling with leadership capability, succession risk, productivity and workforce effectiveness. While assessment remains a critical tool, our work is increasingly focused on diagnosing and solving complex leadership and organisational challenges.
We are seeking a Senior Consultant who operates as a trusted advisor to clients, leading the design and delivery of leadership development solutions and interventions, to contribute to the growth and maturity of our consulting offering.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design and delivery of leadership and executive assessment for development, including development centres and diagnostic programmes.
- Use assessment insight to help clients address leadership depth, succession, effectiveness and performance challenges.
- Act as a credible advisor to senior HR, Talent, OD and business leaders.
- Deliver high impact feedback, insight and facilitated sessions with senior and executive populations.
- Own medium sized consulting engagements end-to-end, from scoping through to delivery and evaluation.
- Build trusted client relationships that moves work from single engagements to long-term partnerships.
- Provide direction and oversight to consultants contributing to your projects.
- Contribute to shaping and positioning outcome led assessment and development solutions.
- Support business development through tender and proposal input, client conversations and thought leadership.
- Act as a role model for consulting quality, ethical practice and development-led thinking.
- Support the development of consultants through coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- MSc in Occupational Psychology, Business Psychology or equivalent.
- Significant experience delivering leadership assessment and development work in consulting or advisory environments.
- Experience in the design and delivery of leadership development centres and interventions.
- Strong track record working with senior and executive stakeholders.
- Experience leading projects and shaping client solutions.
- Experience integrating DE&I considerations into leadership assessment and development.
Why this role is different:
- As part of Hays Advisory—a fast‑paced, start‑up style team within the wider Hays business—you’ll thrive in an environment that values collaboration, energy, enthusiasm, and the confidence to adapt quickly as we grow.
- You’ll work on real leadership and organisational problems, not just transactional administration of psychometrics.
- You’ll be developed across both assessment for development and selection, without being pigeonholed.
- You’ll influence propositions, client relationships and the direction of the practice.
- You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with other service lines at Hays, such as Emerging Talent specialists, Career Transition Services, RPO, MSP, and specialist recruiters, to develop and deliver integrated talent solutions.

- Culture built on rewarding success and the opportunity to influence your earning potential.
