Hays are working with a large, complex organisation to recruit an experienced Corporation Tax Manager on a contract basis. This role sits within a well-established tax function and offers exposure to a broad range of corporate tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities.
The Role
- Support the wider tax team in delivering high-quality tax services, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations while providing commercially focused tax support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing corporation tax compliance, including preparation of tax computations and supporting the annual compliance cycle.
- Preparing IFRS tax reporting and disclosures for statutory accounts.
- Supporting interim tax reporting and tax forecasting (cash tax and effective tax rate).
- Providing analysis and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Assisting with tax advisory work relating to commercial and business transactions.
- Liaising with finance teams, auditors, and external advisers.
- Supporting the implementation of group tax policies and processes.
About You
- ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting, gained in either industry or practice.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to work with a range of stakeholders.
- Able to manage workload independently in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
- Experience using tax reporting tools (e.g. Alphatax).
- Exposure to large, complex or international organisations.
- Experience supporting audits or working with tax authorities.
