Are you looking to develop your career within a successful and growing accountancy practice? Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Accounts Semi Senior to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified professional who is looking to build their technical expertise, gain exposure to a varied client portfolio, and progress towards a senior position.

Your new role

  • Working closely with senior team members and managers, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality accounting services while continuing to develop your professional skills.
  • Duties will include:
    • Preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients.
    • Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements.
    • Preparing management accounts and bookkeeping assignments.
    • Assisting with VAT returns and other compliance requirements.
    • Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
    • Supporting senior team members on more complex assignments.
    • Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
    • Building and maintaining positive client relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

  • AAT qualification or be ACA/ACCA part-qualified.
  • Experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • Experience preparing accounts for a variety of business entities.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
