Quality Planner

Assignment Type: Temporary, ongoing basis where you will be engaged via Hays.

Working Environment: office based on site - hybrid.

Competitive hourly pay rate.

Position: Quality Planner (Project Quality Engineer)

Works on long-term projects (4–5 years before production).

Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams (engineering, suppliers, internal stakeholders).

Lead advanced quality planning activities:

  • Create inspection instructions
  • Collaborate with toolmakers
  • Oversee quality team: 3 Quality Planners (each supported by a Quality Specialist) and 2 Quality Technicians (hands-on roles)
  • Support safety testing (e.g., Automotive experience preferred but not essential)

Proven engineering background with New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.

Minimum 5 years’ experience and an engineering degree.

Control plans (currently Excel-based) moving away from Excel-based processes.

Quality Planner defines specifications—requires strong technical understanding.

Competitive hourly rate along with an annual performance-related bonus.
