A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor to join a respected organisation that delivers high-value project commercial management, cost engineering, and NEC contract expertise across major infrastructure and civil engineering schemes.
This role sits within a well-established, high-performing commercial team supporting clients across complex programmes within the civil engineering, infrastructure, and utilities sectors. You will play a key part in delivering robust commercial guidance, ensuring effective contract administration, and supporting successful project outcomes.
- Lead or support the commercial delivery of major civil engineering projects under NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract.
- Provide comprehensive project cost management, including cost planning, forecasting, and budget control.
- Administer NEC contracts including compensation events, early warnings, contract communications, and programme assessments.
- Prepare and review tender documentation, BoQs, estimates, and commercial reports.
- Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution activities through clear documentation and commercial insight.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project QS, Senior QS, or similar commercial role within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contract - ideally with experience leading contract administration.
- Background in major civil engineering works such as highways, structures, utilities, groundworks, energy or infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, commercial and communication skills.
- Exposure to prestigious, complex civils projects across the region.
